Even with the addition of Jalen Rose, Isiah Thomas is still out there looking to make one or more trades. The Knicks are in the hunt for another point guard to help take the load off the injured Stephon Marbury, but they are also willing to do almost anything short of trading Eddy Curry.

A league executive who has had recent conversations with Thomas said the Knicks president is very active and could make multiple deals if he can before the Feb. 23 trade deadline.

The Knicks players have noticed it, too.

"He's constantly working the phone," one player said. "Something's definitely going to happen."

Before they acquired Rose on Friday, coach Larry Brown said the team was in need of a small forward (which became Rose), a shot-blocker and a backup point guard. The point guard seems to be the primary focus.

The Knicks have had conversations with the Nuggets regarding Earl Watson and would love to get him, but a match with Denver is very difficult. But expect the Knicks to dive headfirst in any number of trade scenarios in the next 2 1/2 weeks.
