Antoine Walker has spent only 27 games over the past three seasons with the Boston Celtics, but he still has an opinion about the franchise for which he played his first seven seasons.

So he's confused about the Celtics' recent trade, that included acquiring Wally Szczerbiak while giving up Ricky Davis and Marcus Banks, because it's not consistent with Boston's supposed plans to rebuild with youth.

''I think they have to make a decision on what direction they want to go,'' Walker said. ``You either want to go young, or you're going to be competitive and make the playoffs every year. Last time I checked, making the playoffs is what it was all about, and playing for a title.

``I think they planned to go one direction when the season started, but, you know, wins and losses dictate a lot. If you're not winning at a level that you want to win, it forces you to do things that you don't want to do. The pressure gets to you. I'm just like [you], I'm puzzled, waiting to see what's going to be the end result.''
