The Celtics signed rookie forward Leon Powe on Tuesday.
Boston acquired the rights to the 6-foot-8 forward from the Nuggets, who drafted him 49th overall out of California after only two years of college basketball.
Powe, a second-team Associated Press All-American, led the Pacific-10 in scoring last season at 20.5 points per game and rebounding at 10.1 per game.
