Though Isiah Thomas hedged a little on Wednesday when asked about Eddy Curry remaining in the starting lineup, there were indications yesterday no change will be made in the middle for tonight's game at Chicago.

Curry spent most of an abbreviated practice working with the starters, making it seem likely he'll remain the starting center, at least for now.

At issue is Curry's invisibility on defense, something that became more glaring during a three-game stretch in which he averaged only eight points. But Curry showed more life on Wednesday, with 12 points and six rebounds in just 24 minutes in a 117-110 loss to the Sonics.

"It's only a matter of time before I put a complete game together and get back on track," Curry said.

"I feel good on defense, but ultimately it's the coach's decision. I feel comfortable but maybe [Thomas] sees something different over there. He's the coach, and I've got 100 percent confidence in what he's doing."
