Joe Smith made his 2008-09 debut with the Cavaliers on Friday and the tentative plan is to use Smith in order to rest LeBron James more.
The idea, which could be implemented following Friday's Boston game, is to take LeBron out for the last two minutes of the first quarter and third quarter to get him around four extra minutes off per game.
