Drew Gooden is happy to have signed with the Spurs, and hopes that the team can be a long-term fit.
"I'm ready to find a home," Gooden said.
Other teams, like the Lakers, were interested in Gooden, but he liked the opportunity that the Spurs offered.
"A lot of teams were calling as soon as they found out I was bought out, but San Antonio was the best fit for me, and not only for the rest of the year. I think there might be a future here for me."
