Lakers center Andrew Bynum is confident that he'll be able to help the team in their quest to win an NBA Title, saying that he'll 'definitely' return this season.

Bynum is entering the seventh week since tearing the medial collateral ligament in his right knee on the last day of January.

"It's been a good six weeks," Bynum said Sunday. "I'm running on the treadmill, no pain, every day. I just hope that the lateral movement gets a little better in the next couple of weeks. That's what the doctor told me."

He is on schedule to return in April, but no definitive timetable has been announced.

"I went to get on the court and see what happens if I start trying to do some moves and things like that," Bynum said. "I don't have a [specific] date. I just know in a couple of weeks, hopefully, I'll be able to participate with the team a little bit more in practice, and a week after that, I should be back in game shape."

"I'll definitely be back this season," he added.
