Celtics coach Doc Rivers didn't have much to say about the situation surrounding forward Glen Davis on Wednesday night.

Davis, who injured his thumb during an altercation earlier this week, has been suspended "indefinitely" by the organization.

The forward is expected to miss six weeks after undergoing surgery on Tuesday.

"I'm pretty far removed from the situation," Rivers said prior to Wednesday's home opener against the Bobcats. "I haven't even really thought about it."

Rivers did say that Davis is part of the Celtics' family and that he'll have a support system.
