Second-year forward J.J. Hickson is starting to earn the trust of Cavaliers coach Mike Brown.

Brown, who famously has a tight leash, played Hickson for a career-high 38 minutes on Saturday night against the Jazz. He responded with a career-best 20 points.

"The trust is obviously building and he's earning it," Brown said. "He's making mistakes, but he's going hard and those are mistakes that you can live with."

Hickson was moved into the starting lineup last week and has kick-started Cleveland's four-game winning streak.

"I've just tried to take advantage of the opportunity and the situation," Hickson said. "There is less pressure knowing I'm going to be on the floor a little bit more.
