LeBron James wanted to guard Derrick Rose late in Chicago's Game 3 win over Cleveland on Thursday night.

James moved to point guard in the fourth quarter, when he scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds. Rose had 11 points and two assists in the final period.

Rose has been a headache for Cleveland, averaging 27.3 points and 8.3 assists in the first three games of the series.

James was the team's most effective defender against Rose, but doesn't expect to guard last season's Rookie of the Year during all of Game 4.

"He does a lot of ballhandling, so as a team, we don't want to put me on him for a long period of time," James said.

"But in a game like this, I felt like we had an opportunity to win and he was playing particularly well, so I wanted to match up on him. He's a tremendous player. But we'll see as the series goes on if I do move onto him a lot or if I don't."
