Former San Diego State wing Kyle Spain is currently starting for the Erie BayHawks of the D-League.

Spain didn't first start until Erie's 17th game, Jan. 2 at Springfield. Spain has reached double figures in nine of his past 15 games and is averaging 8.6 points per game.

"It's been an awesome feeling getting an opportunity to perform to my capabilities," Spain said. "I already knew I had it in me, but it was just about getting that opportunity to perform."

Spain's playing time has come at the expense of Tasheed Carr.
