Isiah Thomas was hired on Tuesday by the New York Liberty of the WNBA as president.
Thomas was previously president of the New York Knicks and has remained close to James Dolan.
"James Dolan is obsessed with Isiah," said Wojnarowski on The Dan Patrick Show. "He's obsessed with redeeming him. He's obsessed with having him by his side. He's put him back in the building now."
Wojnarowski also said he has never expected the Phil Jackson partnership with Dolan to last for the length of his five-year contract.
