The New York Knicks have interest in pursuing Jordan Clarkson in restricted free agency.

The Knicks' biggest needs this offseason are in the backcourt.

It has been widely assumed that the Los Angeles Lakers will re-sign Clarkson.

Clarkson was a second round pick in 2014 and averaged 15.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.3 minutes per game in 15-16 for the Lakers.

“It’s clear we need a lead guard, someone that can really carry the load, day in and day out. That’s something that I think is one of our biggest needs,” Steve Mills said.
