Ettore Messina has agreed to sign a two-year extension with the San Antonio Spurs.
The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera first reported the news.
"In San Antonio, I feel they want me," Messina told the newspaper, per the website Sportando.com. "They did not wait for a second. There is a new contract waiting. I have to sign it."
Messina joined the Spurs in July of 2014. Messina has since been a candidate for NBA head coaching jobs.
