The Boston Celtics will pursue an Anthony Davis trade this summer regardless of whether Kyrie Irving re-signs with the team.
Danny Ainge is currently working on persuading the Pelicans to hold off on dealing Davis until this summer.
The Celtics' originally wanted to pair Irving and Davis together, although there have been recent rumblings that Irving is not necessarily a lock to return to the team next season.
