Monty Williams has agreed to a five-year deal to become head coach of the Phoenix Suns.
Williams has also been a candidate for the Los Angeles Lakers' head coaching vacancy.
Williams was fired by the New Orleans Pelicans as head coach in 2015. Williams is currently assistant coach of the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Suns parted ways with Igor Kokoskov shortly after the end of the 18-19 season.
