Kevin Durant suffered a calf strain on May 8th and he was believed to be nearing a return for Game 4, but he was held out of the Golden State Warriors' loss to the Toronto Raptors.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Durant's continued absence has created "a mixture of confusion and angst among several of his teammates."

Sources tell Amick there was a real hope Durant would play in Game 4.

Trainer Rick Celebrini is making the call on Durant and not Durant himself.

Two sources insist the Warriors have believed for quite some time that Game 5 was the earliest Durant would be likely to return.
