LeBron James is gifting Anthony Davis his No. 23 jersey as he welcomes him to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Davis has worn No. 23 throughout his career.
James has worn No. 6 with the Miami Heat and No. 23 with the Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
It is not yet clear what number James will wear. The Nos. 8, 13, 22, 24, 25, 32, 33, 34, 42, 44 and 52 are retired by the Lakers.
Dave McMenamin of ESPN reports a source close to James said they believe he will wear No. 6. James is reportedly wearing No. 6 in "Space Jam 2".
