The Los Angeles Lakers sat Anthony Davis against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night due to a right foot stress injury.

Darvin Ham described it as a "precautionary" measure.

"He wants to be out there, but he also understands the process of us managing his foot the right way. ... It's just something we're monitoring that we want to be extra careful and cautious about," said Ham.

Davis missed 20 games in December and January with the injury.

Ham added that the rest had been previously planned.

"It's something that was discussed weeks ago, and we're just sticking to a plan," said Ham.
