The Pacers are three games back of the Bucks for the eighth, and final, playoff spot in the Eastern Conference as they begin a three-game Western road trip.

"We might as well pack it in if we come out and don't have a successful road trip," forward Troy Murphy said.

"If there's ever a time when we're ready to play and ready to go, it's this road trip."

Indiana will play Sacramento, Portland and the Clippers on the trip.

There are more than a handful of teams in the race to capture the East's final playoff spot.

"The team that will get that spot will be the team that wins on the road," coach Jim O'Brien said Monday afternoon. "I think most teams will win a majority of their games at home, but you have to win consistently on the road to earn that spot."

The Pacers are 7-25 on the road this season, but have a 19-11 mark at home.
