Shaquille O'Neal participated in Boston's morning shootaround on Wednesday, but his status remains uncertain.

“Shaq shot today and looked pretty good,” Doc Rivers said before the game against Indiana. “I don’t know what the time frame is, but the fact that he’s on the floor means sooner than later, I hope. It’s the first time he’s gone through stuff.”

The status of both Shaq and Jermaine O'Neal presents problems to Boston's depth in the frontcourt.

“It’s huge if they don’t come back,” Rivers said. “It’s a lot of size gone. But if neither one of them comes back, then yeah, we’ve gotten smaller.” … At least one player did make it back last night, though. Delonte West said he was ready to play in is first game since suffering a sprained ankle in late February.
