San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green was assigned to the Austin Toros, San Antonio’s NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the 53rd time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the second assignment for Green, a second-year pro out of North Carolina.
Green (6-6, 210) has averaged 2.6 points in five games with the Spurs this season – two in November and three since earning a Call-Up from the Reno Bighorns on March 16. In 16 games (15 starts) with Reno this season, Green averaged 20.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
