When recently asked about his team's needs, Charlotte Bobcats general manager Rod Higgins said he'd like the Bobcats to be more athletic. He mentioned, for instance, how Dallas guard J.J. Barea's ability to explode off the dribble has been so valuable to the Mavericks in the post-season.

Silas agreed with Higgins' perception on athleticism, then added one of his own.

"I feel we could use more 3-point shooters," Silas said. "We don't have enough guys who can make them, and it makes thing so much better" when an opposing defense gets stretched by shooting range.

The Bobcats made 32.7 percent of their 3-point attempts last season. That was second-worst in the NBA, ahead of only the Toronto Raptors (31.6 percent).
