Carmelo Anthony is now open to waiving his no-trade clause to join either the Houston Rockets or Cleveland Cavaliers.

Houston has previously reached out to the Knicks about trading for Anthony but talks have yet to gain traction.

The Rockets and Cavaliers each feature close friends of Anthony in Chris Paul and LeBron James, respectively.

The Knicks have resisted engaging in buyout talks with Anthony on the two years and $54 million remaining on his deal.

In addition to his no-trade clause, Anthony has an $8.1 million trade kicker. Anthony could lower the trade kicker or waive it in order to help facilitate a trade.
