New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram underwent successful surgery on his right pinky to address a flexion contracture. Ingram is expected to need approximately six-to-eight weeks for recovery.

A flexion contracture is generally an injury or condition which results in an inability to fully straighten the injured part of the body. This can occur through contact, overuse or genetically.

If Ingram is recovered in the timeline given, he'll be healthy well in advance of training camp. Training camp will start in late-September or early-October.
