Marquette and Wake Forest have reached out to Shaka Smart about their head coaching vacancies.

Smart, who has had great success at VCU, is a Wisconsin native.

The Rams finished 26-9 this past season and were 12-4 in the A-10 before losing to Stephen F. Austin in the second round of the NCAA tournament last week.

Saint Joseph's Beats VCU To Win 2014 Atlantic-10 Tournament

Saint Joseph's defeated VCU by a final score of 65-61 to win the 2014 Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Halil Kanacevic was named Tournament MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Ronald Roberts Jr., Langston Galloway, Briante Weber, Rob Brandenberg and Treveon Graham.

Jordair Jett Headlines Atlantic 10 Awards

Jordair Jett of Saint Louis has been named Atlantic 10 Player of the Year.

Jett was joined on the All-Conference First Team by Dwayne Evans, Langston Galloway, Treveon Graham and Chaz Williams.

On the All-Conference Second Team are Kendall Anthony, Isaiah Armwood, Tyreek Duren, Halil Kanacevic and Juvonte Reddic.

Briante Weber was named Defensive Player of the Year, while DeAndre Bembry and E.C. Matthews shared Rookie of the Year honors.

Shaka Smart Gets Commitment From Highest Rated Recruit In Terry Larrier

Terry Larrier has committed to VCU for the class of 2014.

Larrier picked VCU over Connecticut and is the highest rated commitment for Shaka Smart.

Larrier is a 6'8 wing that also had Florida, Florida State, Miami and Seton Hall in his final six.

Larrier is a top-50 recruit.

VCU Gets Pledge From Justin Tillman

VCU picked up a verbal commitment on Friday, when 2014 forward Justin Tillman pledged via Twitter.

Tillman, a 6-7 forward, is believed to be a good fit for the “HAVOC” style of play favored by Shaka Smart.
