The 2013 NBA Draft has 77 early entry candidates, with 46 players from United States' colleges and 31 internatinoal players.

Players have the right to withdraw no later than June 17 ahead of the June 27 draft in Brooklyn.

Otto Porter Headlines Big East Awards

Georgetown's Otto Porter has been named the 2013 Big East Player of the Year. Porter is the first player from the Hoyas to win the Big East's top honor since Jeff Green in 2007.

Joining Porter on the All-Big East First Team are Notre Dame's Jack Cooley, Bryce Cotton of Providence, Louisville's Gorgui Dieng and Russ Smith, and UConn's Shabazz Napier.

Dieng was also named Defensive Player of the Year, while St. John's Jakarr Sampson was named Rookie of the Year.

Ricky Ledo Could Declare For Draft Despite Not Playing In 12-13

Ricky Ledo was declared a partial qualifier at Providence this season, meaning he can practice but not play.

Ledo could conceivably declare for the 2013 NBA Draft still as one of the better shooting guard prospects.

"I hear he's strongly flirting with declaring for the draft," If he has great workouts, someone will grab him in the first."

Brandon Austin Schedules Visits To Providence, Connecticut

Brandon Austin will visit Providence this weekend followed by a visit to Connecticut next weekend.

Austin, a 6-foot-6 forward, is also considering UCLA, Georgetown and Texas.

Providence Receives Commitment From Rodney Bullock

Rodney Bullock has verbally committed to Providence College.

The 6-foot-7 Bullock was also considering Old Dominion, VCU, Clemson and Xavier.

Ricky Ledo Allowed To Practice, Must Redshirt 12-13

Ricky Ledo has been ruled as a partial qualifier by the NCAA, which will allow him to practice with Providence but not play.

Ledo would be eligible for the 2013-14 season as a redshirt freshman if he meets academic requirements. 

Head coach Ed Cooley had been worried the highly touted Ledo would be ruled ineligible to even practice due to an academic past that included attending four different high schools in five years.

Ricky Ledo Waiting For Eligibility Ruling Before Enrolling At Providence

Ricky Ledo is still waiting to hear if he will be eligible to begin his freshman year at Providence.

Ledo attended four high schools in five years and is waiting for a ruling on his transcript.

"I'm hoping for the best," said Ledo. "I really haven't talked about what could happen if it doesn't work out for me."

UConn Lands Commitment From Kentan Facey

Connecticut received a verbal commitment from Kentan Facey, a highly-touted 6-foot-9 forward out of New York Long Island Lutheran.

Facey, a native of Jamaica, chose the Huskies over USC, UCLA, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Memphis, St. John’s, Providence and Rutgers.

“That was the only school I knew anything about when I came to the states,” Facey said. “I was always a UConn fan, I always liked UConn.”
