Danuel House Transferring From Houston To Texas A&M

Highly touted transfer Danuel House will be moving from Houston to Texas A&M.

The 6-foot-7 wing averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as a sophomore last season. It is unknown if he will try to receive a waiver to play immediately.

House was rated as a five-star recruit out of high school by Rivals, ESPN, and 247Sports. He and teammate TaShawn Thomas left Houston after head coach James Dickey was fired.

TaShawn Thomas Transferring From Houston To Oklahoma

TaShawn Thomas will transfer from Houston to Oklahoma for his final season of eligibility.

The 6-foot-8 forward will attempt to get a waiver to play immediately after choosing the Sooners over Miami.

Thomas averaged 15.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game last season.

Kelvin Sampson Emerges As Candidate For University Of Houston

Kelvin Sampson has become a leading candidate to replace James Dickey as head coach at the University of Houston.

Sampson took Oklahoma to the 2002 Final Four and had 18 consecutive winning seasons at Washington State, Oklahoma and Indiana.

Sampson has interviewed for several NBA head coaching jobs in recent years and is well-regarded within NBA circles. Sampson is currently an assistant coach with the Houston Rockets.

Mike Davis is another candidate for the job.
