Tom izzo said he will return to coach Michigan State despite reportedly being a candidate for the coach openings of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons.
"First of all, I'm going to be at Michigan State,'' Izzo said Wednesday. "I still listen to things every day in our town about Nick Saban saying I'm not going to be the Alabama coach [when Saban was coach of the Miami Dolphins].
"Nobody knows where any of us are going to be. You have to look at your track record and, over all these years, is this what he's done?"
The Spartans lost in the Elite Eight last season to Connecticut.
"If somebody made me an offer to be the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers that was so good that it would impress everybody, does that mean I would never say never?" Izzo said. "I'm not doing that anymore. I've seen too many people get stung that way.
"Put it this way: I've got a big-time recruit coming in an hour and if I was leaving I wouldn't be recruiting.''
Chane Behanan has declared for the 2014 NBA Draft to forgo his senior season.
Behanan signed with Colorado State in January and has been taking online courses following his December dismissal from Louisville for violating team rules.
Behanan wouldn't have become eligible to play for the Rams until late December, was given an arrest citation by Louisville police on April 2 for possession of marijuana and has a court date set for Tuesday.
Jordan Adams has changed his mind to leave UCLA for the 2014 NBA Draft.
Adams averaged 17.4 points per game last season.
Adams had initially decided to remain at UCLA for his junior season.
Ryan Boatright will return to the University of Connecticut for his senior season.
Boatright averaged 12.1 points and 3.5 rebounds as a junior last season.
DeAndre Daniels will enter the 2014 NBA Draft.
Daniels averaged 13.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game as a junior at UConn.
Daniels was a Final Four All-Tournament Team selection in the Huskies' title run.
Aaron Harrison and Andrew Harrison have decided to return to Kentucky for their sophomore seasons.
The Harrisons were considering declaring for the 2014 NBA Draft and were torn with their decision in recent days.
Mitch McGary has declared for the 2014 NBA Draft after testing positive for marijuana.
McGary would face a year-long suspension during what would be his junior season at Michigan.
McGary told Yahoo! That he smoked marijuana one night in mid-March.
McGary played in only eight games in 13-14 before a back injury ended his season.
According to multiple NBA scouts, McGary is a likely second-rounder -- depending on how his medical testing goes with NBA teams.
Khem Birch will leave UNLV for the 2014 NBA Draft.
Birch is a 6'9, 220 power forward out of Montreal, who spent part of his freshman season at Pitt before transfering.
Birch was a McDonald's All-American in 2011.
