Losing to the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs is bad, but portraying the image of selfish, poor sports really hurts. What can the Blazers Management do to save their image?
"When it gets to the point that the team and the fans seem to be at war with each other, you've pretty much hit bottom," Eldon L. Ham, a sports attorney and adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law said. "You can almost watch those things slide: The owner or general manager is first subject to skepticism. The skepticism grows into anger. That grows into hate. When hate grows into ridicule, you also know you've hit bottom."
Needless to say, the Blazers PR department has their work cut out for them.
