According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, Ray Allen likes the fact that Vince Carter got his diploma, but he referred to the timing of the event as being "kind of selfish".  Allen compared Carter's decision to Deion Sanders using a charter flight to play a baseball and football game on the same day.
