We all know that Phil Jackson has won seven titles in the last nine seasons he has been at the helm, yet his critics continue to linger, writes Sam Smith of the Chicago Tribune.  Even the opposition coach in the 2001 NBA Finals Larry Brown has had his say, talking about how Brown turned Jackson down for an assistant's job with New Jersey in the late 1970s. Said Brown: "I only lasted two years there. He probably would have been the head coach of New Jersey [if Brown had hired him] and had a terrible career." But Jackson hasn't taken the bait.
