Pioneer Planet reports that the Wolves are still interested in trying to acquire Seattle Sonics point guard Gary Payton in a trade. The problem: The Sonics want young players, and not 31-year-old point guard Terrell Brandon, in return. The solution: the Wolves are trying to involve a third team that might want Brandon. The Chicago Bulls continue to show interest in Wolves forward Wally Szczerbiak but not Brandon, who will make $9.25 million next season.
