The Rockets caused some confusion about Moochie Norris' future with the organization when they signed Damon Jones yesterday.  Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle clears that up.  The Rockets have not taken their offer to Norris off the table, they just signed Jones (1 year, $600,000 -- unclear whether the money is guaranteed) because they needed some insurance going into training camp.  Their offer to Norris hasn't changed and they'd still like him to sign.

In other Rockets news, Glen Rice says his foot is about 70% ("That's better than all last year").  He is enthused about starting work but trainer Keith Jones wants him to be cautious.  Jason Collier's surgically-repaired knee is within 10% of the strength of the other.  He is healthy and bulked up.

GM Carroll Dawson expects an answer from Golden State as to whether they will match the offer to Marc Jackson by the end of the week.  If Golden State matches the 6-year offer, they won't be able to trade Jackson without his consent for a year.
