Tyson Chandler already has first-hand proof that the NBA is a tough transition for a rookie used to dominating high school competition.

His unofficial pro debut was a humbling experience. It came on July 11 at the Summer Pro League in Long Beach, Calif., just a few miles from where Chandler attended Dominguez High School in Compton.

Just the other day, Eddy Curry and his high school buddies could only shake their heads at the thought of it.

"We talked about how I had played in the state tournament only months ago," the former Thornwood High School sensation said. "Now I'm ready to play in the NBA. It's kinda crazy."
