Friday, October 05, 2001 - Rookie point guard Omar Cook's roller coaster introduction to the NBA could surprisingly end in the Denver Nuggets' training camp.
The Nuggets acquired Cook, the 32nd pick of the NBA draft in June, from the Orlando Magic.
After contract talks dissolved in late August, the Nuggets decided to attempt to trade the 19-year-old. Cook was nearly dealt to the New Jersey Nets this week, but Nuggets assistant general manager David Fredman said that trade talk cooled because the Nuggets felt they "couldn't get fair marketvalue."
