What had been a relatively painless preseason has taken an uncomfortable twist for the Indiana Pacers.
Two starters, guard Jalen Rose and center Jermaine O'Neal, are uncertain for Wednesday night's game against Toronto in Conseco Fieldhouse. O'Neal suffered a sprained right wrist early in Saturday night's 86-81 loss to Chicago, while Rose sat out that game with right knee tendinitis.
Two other regulars said their performances have been limited by nagging problems, Carlos Rogers with a thigh bruise and Jonathan Bender with a tight left hamstring. Derrick McKey has missed the first three games with a hamstring strain.
