Owner Mark Cuban has placed a $50,000 bid on e-Bay to purchase one of Spike Lee's courtside seats for a game at New York's Madison Square Garden.

The ticket is for the Oct. 30 regular-season opener pitting the Knicks against Michael Jordan and the Washington Wizards. All proceeds from the sale of the ticket will go to the New York Relief Fund.

Cuban is the third-highest bidder and said he hasn't decided whether he'll make any more bids. But he did say if he does place the winning bid, he won't attend the game, because the Mavericks open the season on the same night - at home against Detroit.

"I have someone I want to give the ticket to," Cuban said. "I'd rather watch the Mavs game than any game Jordan plays. I have nothing against Michael, but ... "
