Owner Mark Cuban didn't have to glance at the fingers on his hand. He already knew they were void of NBA championship rings, and he wants to fill that void in the worst possible way.

"We've had one good year, and one good year a model franchise does not make," Cuban said. "We've still got a long ways to go.

"You're not counting rings on my finger. And until that happens, it's all talk."
