Friday, October 19, 2001 - OAKLAND, Calif. - For many NBA teams, the injured list is used as a developmental list. Because of knee injuries to forwards Antonio McDyess and Calbert Cheaney, the Denver Nuggets won't have that luxury when the season starts.
All NBA teams must have 12 players on the active roster and can put as many as three players on the injured list. The Nuggets seemed poised to use two of the IL spots for center Aleksandar Radojevic, who still is underdeveloped and bothered by back problems, and a rookie point guard when the regular season begins.
