Michael Jordan wasn't the only one with something to prove to a national audience on Saturday.

The Nets were on a mission to show that they are an improved product in a rare appearance on TNT. And while Jordan was scintillating, scoring 41 points, the Nets came away with a 102-95 win that showed at the very least, they should be more exciting to watch.

"I think that we showed them that we are much better than we were last year, we are a much better passing team, we really run the ball up and down the floor when Jason Kidd is in the game and we defend and rebound a lot better than last year," coach Byron Scott said.
