The Ogden Standard-Examiner has a story about the impact of the luxury tax.  We'll have to check out these figures with RealGM's resident cap guru, Tony Farr, but it looks like a team staying under the cap is in for big bucks. The paper reports that skinflint teams will have a whopping $7 million plus coming to them. It breaks down to $5.5 million from the players and about $2 million from the fat cat teams.  No wonder Anthony Mason has had so much trouble getting the mid-level exception.
