CUBAN'S CORNER

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been compared to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, in that he's a hands-on owner who is always around the team.

While some may see that as a negative - especially the way the Cowboys have fared lately - Cuban does not.

"Give me three championship rings, and I'll take it," Cuban said, referring to the three Super Bowls Jones' teams have captured. "If anybody asked me in 1989 over the next 12 years, 'Would you take a couple of bad seasons and three Super Bowls, and then see what happens?' Everybody would have said, 'Yeah, I'll take that.'

"So if I can follow that, I'll take it. I've got no problems with that at all."
