Dwain Price of the Ft.Worth Star-Telegram reports: For the first time since last season, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban came face to face with NBA commissioner David Stern. And there wasn't any tension in the air.
Or, was there?
"I always get along good with David," Cuban said. "Our personal relationship has always been great. We just don't always see eye to eye on certain business issues, but that's not unusual.
But the two combatants have apparently kissed and made up. Cuban even gave Stern, NBA deputy commissioner Russ Granik and NBA vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson a tour of American Airlines Center on Monday.
Stern, Granik and Jackson are in town for the NBA Board of Governors meeting, which concludes its two-day run today. The trio had a 30-minute talk with the Mavericks players and coaches before Monday's practice session, mainly about security and the new rules.
