Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has discovered a way to get his team involved in the heartfelt ceremonies surrounding the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Cuban, along with equipment manager Chad Lewis, developed a T-shirt with the Mavericks' logo and the words "United We Stand" printed on it. The red T-shirts will be on sale in the merchandise office at American Airlines Center beginning Tuesday.
"Chad and I talked about putting together some different ideas, and Chad actually did a good job of putting together what we had discussed and turning it into something that is wearable," Cuban said. "So he gets all the credit.
"We're also working on some T-shirts in some other colors."
Cuban, who donated $1 million to the New York Relief Fund, said he's also coming up with more ways to raise money to help families affected by the attacks.
