Ron Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that the Grizzlies might start draft pick Pau Gasol ahead of Stromile Swift in their season opener Thursday night.

Neither Gasol nor Swift is a powerful post-up player. Their strengths are running the floor and shooting mid-range shots.  Teammates are impressed by Gasol's constant tenacity - something Swift lacks.  "Stromile has just got to pick the intensity up and work harder," Lorenzen Wright said of last year's number two pick.
