The Indiana Pacers have reached agreement with Al Harrington on a four-year contract extension.

Harrington's agent, Andy Miller, reached a deal with a total value estimated at $24 million with Pacers president Donnie Walsh on Wednesday, the deadline for the extension.

If Harrington had not been signed by Wednesday, he would have become a restricted free agent at the end of the season. The Pacers could have matched any offers Harrington received at that time.

"There was no pressure either way," Harrington said after the Pacers' 98-73 victory over Chicago at the United Center. "If it happened, it happened. But I'm very happy."
