After playing only six relatively ineffective minutes in his debut, in which he also received a technical, Bulls rookie Tyson Chandler is set to start against the Boston Celtics tonight. Coach Tim Floyd hinted about the move following practice as an effort to bolster the Bulls bench production. This means that when the second unit comes in there will not be so much youth and inexperience on the court at the same time. Look for Fred Hoiberg, who is battling injuries himself, to be relegated.
The Bulls were exposed extensively when they moved into a zone defense against the Pacers in their last game, with Jermaine O'Neal the main beneficiary inside for Indiana. "When we went to zone, Jermaine O'Neal started getting inside of us and getting layup, dunk, layup, dunk," center Brad Miller said. But the problem is the Bulls have no true Small Forward healthy right now and need to switch their defense to help hide matchup problems.
