Baron Davis did it again for the Charlotte Hornets Friday night.

With a game hanging in the balance against the New York Knicks, Davis took charge and led Charlotte to a 97-93 victory and the Hornets? second 2-0 start in franchise history.

Charlotte will go after its first-ever 3-0 start tonight at New Jersey at 8 p.m.

Davis wasn?t quite as dominating as he was in Wednesday?s season-opening victory over Cleveland when he scored a franchise-record 21 fourth-quarter points.

But Friday?s four fourth-quarter points were possibly more important.

In Wednesday?s win, Davis did most of his damage early in the final period of a comfortable 100-94 victory.

This time, Davis? four points came in the final 1:15 ? and broke open a one-point game.

"Well, he?s the one guy who?s capable of doing that for me," coach Paul Silas said. "Especially off the dribble."
