Dwain Price of the Ft.Worth Star-Telegram reports: Wang Zhizhi's arrival in Dallas has been pushed back to sometime between Nov. 18-20.
Mavericks assistant coach Donnie Nelson said Wang is projected to leave China Nov. 16 or Nov. 17. That means the 7-foot-1 center could be in a Mavericks uniform for the Nov. 20 home game against Seattle, or the Nov. 21 road game at Charlotte.
"We'd like it to have happened yesterday," Nelson said of Wang's arrival. "But it's basically when the [Chinese] army decides that he has fulfilled his commitments, that's when they'll let him go."
Wang, who regularly plays for the Chinese Army team, is currently playing in the Asian Games.
